I had the chance to visit halters this past weekend. Wow. What a shop. Incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and helpful. Friendly too. Fantastic place. People in the Princeton area are fortunate to have Halter’s in their own back yard. Even if you aren’t local it’s worth the drive.

It would be easier to answer if it was: what don’t you recommend? Answer: Nothing!!!

I've been buying bikes from Halter's for many years. Road, mountain, hybrid, kid's bikes. Their mechanics are top notch and Jay, Cody and Trip have been there for many years and are super-knowledgeable (those are just the guys I happen to know best). Their knowledge about fitting riders to bikes is worth it to me. As is their service and I'm a regular and they get me right in and out if I need a quick tune-up or service of some kind and they do not nickel and dime - always fair.

Today I bought my second mountain bike and Jay found an adjustment or two to rid me of knee pain related to a recent injury - THAT level of knowledge. Worth every penny - check them out. read less

I’ve bought two high end bikes from Halters and have been highly satisfied. I’ve taken one of them in for a few repairs due to normal wear and tear and the service from Jason and his crew has always been excellent. They are also honest and won’t try to sell you what you don’t need. Honest, passionate and customer oriented. That’s what Halters is about.

The staff here are very knowledgeable, friendly and really helpful. They all seem to have a genuine love of cycling, and it shows in the care they take with their customers.

Terrific shop. Knowledgeable people are true professionals. I live about an hour away, but this may be my new LBS (local bike shop) despite the drive. I'm happy to travel for this level of service and expertise.

Went to Dan for a bike shoe fitting. Dan was extremely knowledgeable and took his time helping me understand the WHY than just doing the service so I can make minor adjustments at home. The bike store is a gem in Montgomery and we're lucky to have them in the neighborhood.

Have used Halter's Cycles for years it is best shop around and only go here for bikes and service.

This shop is the best!! thought my Santa Cruz tall boy was done for, I had ridden it hard a put it away wet way too often. brought it in they diagnosed the problem pretty quickly, called up with options and I am back on the trails. Thanks guys

They did a great job putting pedals and tape on my bike quickly. They friendly and efficient! Pricing was very fair as well.
